United Church Women (UCW)

The St. Thomas United Church Women (UCW) meet on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the church lounge. We have a guest speaker or activity that is of interest to the group of about 15-20 ladies of various ages and interests. Our most recent topics were massage and reflexology, Christmas card making, antiques, personal directives, hand massage and manicures, a talk by Rev. Roslyn Campbell about herself, and a walk at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary.

It is a small group ministry that encourages any ladies in the congregation to attend and it is a great way to get to know others in a social setting. We have annual fundraisers and the money raised goes to charities of our choice. This year we have donated to the Mustard Seed, Calgary Women's Shelter, Interfaith Food Bank, Red Cross for the Earthquake in Iran, and sewing machines and Bibles for Africans.

We hold two annual potluck dinners, one in June and the other in Dec. Please watch the bulletin for monthly details and plan to attend whenever it is convenient.
