The music committee consists of the music staff, the ministers and a few volunteers. The music committee meets 8 – 10 times per year to schedule the musical groups for Sunday morning worship services, discuss musical events such as the Children and Youth Choir’s Christmas musical, talent shows, STUC musical fund raising events and plan for outreach events. Input on hymn selection is provided if requested by the ministers.
The volunteers of this committee are responsible for recruiting new music staff as needed and providing input into the annual performance review process for the staff. They also provide support in finding substitutes when one of the staff members is absent, helping with paper work and being a sounding board for any issues that may arise.
